Book Donation Policy
We are happy to accept:
Gently used hardback and paperback fiction and non-fiction books for adults, young adults and children, in good condition (of a quality that you would buy or give to a friend)
Classics in good condition, regardless of year printed
Vintage, coffee table, and collectible books
Audio books, DVDs/Blu-Rays, CDs and video games for recent systems, in excellent working order
We are unable to accept:
Books with mold, bugs, odors, writing/coloring
Books with smoke, water, or other damage
Travel guides or business books over three years old
Medical or scientific works
Magazines (including National Geographic), textbooks, manuals, encyclopedias, dictionaries, Readers Digest Condensed Books, sheet music, notebooks of a personal nature, and partially used activity books
VHS or audio tapes
Bring all donations to the Circulation Desk or to the Parking Lot Door. Please ring the bell and Library staff will assist you. Please do not leave unattended books at the front or side doors or put them in the Book Return bins.
Currently, we ask that you limit your donations to no more than 10 grocery bags of books.
We appreciate your donations to the Friends of the HTFL book sale! All proceeds from the sale benefit the library.
